What is a friend? I'll tell you.
It is a person with whom you dare to be
Yourself- your soul can go naked with him.
He seems to ask you to put on nothing.
Appreciating you for who you truthfully are.
When you are with him, you do not have to be
on your guard. You can say what you think,
so long as it is genuinely you.
He understands the contradictions in your
nature which cause others to
misjudge you. with him you breathe freely...
you can profess your little vanities, envies
and absurdities - and in opening
them up to him, they are vanished
onto the white ocean of his loyalty.
He understands. You can weep with him.
laugh with him, pray with him...
through it all, he sees, know and LOVES you.
these were written on the present that my best friend gave me for Christmas.... i thought it was cute... so... i wrote it here... :)

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature

A girl-oriented remake Bokujō Monogatari Harvest Moon for Girl (or simply "for Girls"), was also developed, but until 2007, had not seen a localized English release. The setting of this game was later transferred to the 2003 and 2005 Game Boy Advance games Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town and Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town. Also, the game was coupled with the girl version and ported in 2006 (2007 for North America) as Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl for the PlayStation Portable, although the box art and instructions portrayed it as a completely new game.
Why I'm blogging about it---> This game is really addicting! I've been playing Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town before here in our computer..... But after we had a reformat, I didn't had the chance to retrieve it any more. Then.................. when kuya went back here in Alaminos from Manila for his Christmas Break he told me he had Harvest Moon on his PSP!!!! yipee!! (at natuwa naman ako dun, nung sinabi nyang di-nownload nya para sa akin!!1 naks!)

A Letter for Christmas
This is a chain mail I received 3 years ago, and I've kept because I've liked it so much. I just wanted to share it also with you:
It's worth reading. I promise.
Dear All,
As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year
there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the
celebration
will be repeated.
During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are
many Radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world
everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer.
It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people
think of me.
As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago.
At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did
for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the
celebration.
Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't
know the meaning of the celebration. I remember that last year there was a
great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods,
pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were
exquisite
and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts.
However, do you want to know something? I was not invited.
I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an
invitation.
The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside,
they closed the door in my face .. and I wanted to be with them and
share their table.
In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all
close their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to
enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a
corner.
They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling
jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a grand time.
To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white
beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the
sofa and all the children ran to him, saying: "Santa Claus, Santa
Claus" as if the party were in his honor!
At midnight all the people began to hug each other; I extended my arms
waiting for someone to hug me and do you know no-one hugged me.
Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one
with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if,
maybe,
there was one for me. What would you feel if on your birthday everybody
shared gifts and you did not get one?
I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left.
Every year it gets worse. People only remember the gifts, the parties,
to eat and drink, and nobody remembers me.
I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life.
I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years
ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save
you.
I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their
party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one
has ever imagined, a spectacular party. I'm still making the final
arrangements.
Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for
you.I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation
for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book.
Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party.
Those who don't answer the invite, will be left outside. Be prepared
because when all is ready you will be part of my great party.
See you soon. I Love you!

Doraemon! Doraemon!

When i was young, the first thing I do when I reach home after classes is to turn on the television. The Doraemon series' timeslot that time was at four thirty in the afternoon. We dismiss at school at four, and our house is just a walk away from the school that i go in that makes it possible for me to watch Doraemon.
I really liked his super gadgets... I wished I had one. hee hee

What's the secret of SUCCESS?
by anonymous
"Taking pain," said the nail.
"Keeping cool," said the ice.
"Driving hard," said the hammer.
"Being up to date," said the calendar.
"Not being led," said the pencil.
"Being sharp," said the knife.
"Making light around you," said the fire.
"Sticking to it," said the glue.
"Being bright," said the lamp.
"Being on time," said the clock.
"Saving a drop," said the faucet.
"Learning from it," said the mistake.

Overview: Hanbok
Women's hanbok is comprised of a wrap-around skirt and a jacket. It is often called chima-jeogori, 'chima' being the Korean word for skirt and 'jeogori' the word for jacket. Men's hanbok consists of a short jacket and pants, called 'baji', that are roomy and bound at the ankles. Both ensembles may be topped by a long coat of a similar cut called 'durumagi'. Hanbok worn today are patterned after those worn during the Confucian-oriented Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). Yangban, a hereditary aristocratic class based on scholarship and official position rather than on wealth, wore brightly colored hanbok of plain and patterned silk in cold weather and closely woven ramie cloth or other high-grade, light weight materials in warm weather. Commoners, on the other hand, were restricted by law as well as finances to bleached hemp and cotton and could only wear white, pale pink, light green, gray or charcoal colors.
Jeogori->The jeogori makes up the upper part of the hanbok. Men's jeogori is larger and simplistic while a woman's jeogori is rather short and characterized by curved lines and delicate decorations.
DongJeong->The dongjeong refers to a white collar attached along the rim of the neckline. It contrasts and harmonizes with the overall curve of the neck.
Otgoreum (Cloth Strings)->The otgoreum is a women's ornamental piece, which hangs vertically across the front of the chima.
Baerae (Jeogori Sleeve)->The baerae refers to the lower lines of the sleeve of either the jeogori , or the magoja (outer jacket). It features a circular line which is naturally curved, similar to the line of the eaves of the traditional Korean house.
Chima->The chima is the women's outer skirt. There are different kinds of chima: single-layered, double-layered, and quilted. Pul-chima refers to a chima with a separated back, whereas a tong-chima has a seamed back.

Durumagi->The durumagi is a traditional overcoat worn on special occasions over the traditional jacket and pants.
Baji->Baji refers to the lower part of the men's hanbok. . The roomy nature of the cloth is due to a design aimed at making the cloth ideal for sitting on the floor.
*Kkotsin->The kkotsin refers to silk shoes on which flower patterns are embroidered. They play an important role in completing the graceful line of the lower rim of the chima.

the WASP
I guess I already had trauma because of that wasp to stung me on the head while I was getting "kamias"(it's a green finger shaped, sour tasting fruit...... it's used in Sinigang-that's a native Filipino dish) to sun-dry it so lola could bring them to the states when she gets back. Since then, I panic whenever I hear a buzzing sound. I even shouted when we were having our practice last Friday when I realized that a wasp passed in front of me. I think our teacher got mad a bit about that.........
I saw a wasp today making a hive in our window..... of course the window's screened that made it possible for me to watch it closely....... It's amazing how it builds its hive....... it carries mud, with the size of a pellet (I wonder where it gets wet soil..... or maybe it wets it with its saliva?..... hahaha just guessing!) and shapes it with its snout and hands...... It's a amazing how it could make it a beautiful circle...... it comes back I think every after 15 minutes after it has molded the mud....
Well that doesn't erase my fear about wasps....... I just find it cool that I got the chance to closely see how wasps make their hives... ;)
